In Support of the LGBTQIA2S+ Community
Portland Center Stage condemns the national attacks on the LGBTQIA2S+ community, including the oppressive, systematic approach by lawmakers at passing anti-queer and anti-trans laws across the country.
Stop AAPI Hate
Portland Center Stage condemns hate crimes against Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, which have tragically increased in the past years. We need to stop racist violence and truly honor each other’s full humanity. There is no place for hate at Portland Center Stage. We are in solidarity with AAPI communities and with all marginalized people.
Our Response to 'We See You White American Theater'
A national collective of BIPOC artists has offered a list of demands that identify the ways that theaters can build an anti-racist, equitable, and truly vibrant future for the American theater. It is our goal to meet every demand.
Honor Native Peoples & Lands
We at Portland Center Stage would like to offer a land acknowledgement as an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those who have stewarded this land from time immemorial.
Portland Center Stage is committed to identifying & interrupting instances of racism & all forms of oppression, through the principles of inclusion, diversity, equity, & accessibility (IDEA).
