Please join Portland Center Stage in a partnership with the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education for a 30-minute post-show discussion following the 2 p.m. performance of The Pianist of Willesden Lane on April 10 and 17. Hear and share personal reactions and thoughts inspired by the play, filtered through the perspectives of these special guests from our community.
Scheduled Speakers
- April 10 – The Holocaust narrative as it shifts through time with Judith Margles, Executive Director of OJMCHE and Elaine Coughlin, a child of a Holocaust survivor.
- April 17 – Writing as a tool in memory and memorials with John Laursen, who was involved with the design of the Oregon Holocaust Memorial including the engraving of its text, and Miriam Greenstein, a Holocaust survivor and writer.
