The Armory is excited to host Nicole McCabe, a local jazz alto saxophonist and student in the jazz program at Portland State University, for a live set before a performance of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill.
About Nicole McCabe
![]() | Nicole McCabe is a jazz alto saxophonist located in Portland, Oregon. She takes influence from artists such as Cannonball Adderley, Kenny Garrett, Sonny Rollins and many other artists rooted in the bebop and post-bop era of jazz. Nicole performs in clubs such as the Fremont Theatre, The 1905 and Mississippi Pizza, and has performed alongside many famous Portland musicians such as Alan Jones and the Alan Jones Sextet, George Colligan, Joe Manis, Randy Porter, Ron Steen, Charlie Porter, Pura Vida Orchestra, Portland Jazz Composers Ensemble, and famous musicians John Patitucci and Paquito D’Rivera.
