Join veteran actor Joe Costa for a unique opportunity to take a “deep dive” into both Shakespeare’s text of Twelfth Night, and the PCS Production. Participants will read the play out loud as a group, with “intermissions” provided for lively discussion of themes and content. Interested participants will have a chance to act in selected scenes, guided by the instructor.

  • Nov 24, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm - Discuss the play and read half of the play out loud.
  • Dec 8, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm - Discuss the PCS production and finish reading the play out loud.

*Students are responsible for purchasing their own ticket to the PCS production of Twelfth Night and for finding their own copy of the play. These are not included in the class tuition.

Joe Costa
Joe Costa

Joe Costa is an actor and teacher with more than 40 years experience in professional show business. Joe is very familiar with Twelfth Night having played "Fabian" for the Alley Theatre in Houston and "Malvolio" for the Huntington Theatre in Boston. He has acted in almost 100 regional theater productions and was a company member at the Yale Repertory Theatre, the Barter Theatre, the Huntington Theatre, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. Off-Broadway he was in eight productions for Joe Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival and also appeared in productions at the Roundabout Theatre, and the Manhattan Theatre Club. On Broadway he acted in the 2000 revival of Gore Vidal's The Best Man with Charles Durning.
