Songs from "Wild and Reckless"

In Wild and Reckless, Blitzen Trapper weaves together new music with favorites from the band's catalog. Here's a preview of some of the tunes that will be featured in the production.

"Love Live On"

"Love Live On" is one of the band's new songs that will make its debut in Wild and Reckless. Earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly premiered the song and interviewed Eric Earley, the band's frontman and primary songwriter. In the interview, Eric describes this song as “the kernel of the whole show.”

"Dance With Me"

"Dance With Me" is another new song that will make its debut in Wild and Reckless. Last week, The Oregonian stopped by The Armory to film the band playing "Dance With Me" during a rehearsal. This video offers the first glimpse of Blitzen Trapper working with their fellow cast members, Laura Carbonell and Leif Norby.

"Astronaut"

"Astronaut" is one of the songs from the band's catalog that will be featured in Wild and Reckless. The song originally appeared in Blitzen Trapper's 2011 album American Goldwing. When the album was released, Paste compared Eric Earley to Bob Dylan and said American Goldwing might be the "Dylan-est exhibit in the Blitzen catalog."

"Black River Killer"

"Black River Killer" is another favorite from the band's catalog that will be played in the production. The song appeared in Blitzen Trapper's 2008 album Furr, which was named #13 on Rolling Stone's list of "Top 50 Albums of the Year." Rolling Stone called the album "one of the most gorgeous rock albums of the year" and credited Blitzen Trapper as one of the bands that were "shaping a new Pacific Northwest rock sound." Hear more about Furr and the inspiration behind "Black River Killer" in this NPR interview with Eric Earley.

"Forever"

In this video you get to hear a little of the new song "Forever" and also get an introduction to some of the characters in the show.

"Wild and Reckless"

This final video offers just a taste of the title song of the show. The title song is also the first track on the limited-edition LP soundtrack that will be available exclusively at performances of Wild and Reckless.
