Kevin Schlossman
A native of Los Angeles, percussionist Kevin Schlossman moved to Portland in the summer of 2016. Since then, he has had the pleasure of playing regularly with the Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera, and the Oregon Ballet, as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest. He received his Bachelor of Music in percussion performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and an Artist’s Diploma from the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles. While living in LA, he had the distinct privilege of working with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Opera, and LA Chamber Orchestra. An ardent proponent of both chamber and 20th century percussion music, he was a founding member of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles’ first conductorless orchestra, and a member of the Smoke and Mirrors Ensemble. He can be heard as a soloist on their second album, Vanish.
